Civitanavi Systems

Also in 2012, JTH was the co-founder of Civitanavi Holding AG in Zug. The Swiss Holding acts as the parent company for the design and manufacturing center, located in Civitanova Marche on the Adriatic coast of Italy. 

Civitanavi Systems S.p.A. specialized in designing, manufacturing and marketing inertial navigation and stabilization systems for use in the aeronautics and defense sectors, and in the mining and energy industries. Based on optical-fiber gyrometer and microelectromechanical technologies, the group offers inertial systems, heading and attitude systems, inertial units, gyrocompasses, etc., for independent, high precision inertial navigation; stabilization; positioning; and precise guidance of missiles, spacecraft, aircraft, ships, submarines, land vehicles and boreholes. 

The rapid growth of the company lead to an IPO at the stock- exchange of Milano in February 2022 thus raising over 20 Mio. EUROs. In 2024 Civitanavi Holding AG sold its Italian unit to Honeywell.
